Munro Vehicles is a start-up located in East Kilbride. We are currently prototyping and developing our first product, a fully electric four-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at heavy-duty commercial customers such as mining, agriculture, forestry, and rescue.

As we move towards production of our EV 4x4, we are expanding the team and now require a Workshop Assistant. You'll come on board to work directly with the Head of Engineering to carry out day to day tasks in our workshop.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assemble mechanical and electrical components for prototype and production vehicles, working to a Bill of Materials and drawings
- Assist with light fabrication work such as cutting, processing, and finishing steel and aluminium components
- Inventory management such as handling, inspection, and storage incoming/finished components, recording outgoing components, stocktaking
- Support testing and demonstration of our prototype vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, upgrades, and repairs
- Assist Production Manager and Head of Engineering with developing assembly guides for future production staff

**Requirements**:

- Experience of working in a workshop environment with powered and unpowered hand tools
- A keen eye for detail, especially with regards to specifications, calculations, and measurements
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and patient attitude

**Desirable**:

- Full, clean driving licence and towing experience is highly desirable for operational reasons
- MIG and TIG Welding skills are desirable but not essential
- 4x4 drivetrain mechanical experience desirable but not essential
- Lathe and press brake operation experience desirable but not essential

This role is a full-time position at our HQ based in East Kilbride near Glasgow. There will also be some traveling required as we are trialling our vehicles thought out the UK and internationally.

We provide a friendly and flexible working environment with plenty of coffee and snacks at our HQ, which is located within walking distance to a golf course, gym and spa. Workwear, tools and PPE all provided.

The salary for this role is **£25-35k** depending on experience with a minimum of 30 days annual holiday. We are happy to consider any level of prior experience and qualification as coaching and training can be given for this role.
