Chargehand Gardener

**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team delivering high quality landscaping services to a wide variety of green spaces on the JRHT estate. You will ensure that the standards of presentation and service delivery prescribed by our schedules are maintainedand will focus on overseeing the maintenance and preparation of a wide variety of horticultural features including amenity grass areas, hedges, beds and hard surfaces.

You will provide day-to-day management of a multi-skilled team of operatives and their workload and will be responsible for the service delivery of the Parks and Landscapes Team. Having introduced new schedules, the implementation of these and the motivationof the team to deliver the highest possible standards are the top priorities for this post.

**About you**

Coming to us with solid practical experience of horticulture and high-quality grounds maintenance you will possess a horticultural qualification to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 and have good botanical knowledge. You will also possess the skills and experienceto manage and motivate a team to work to high standards and within defined timescales.

Your ability to problem-solve, prioritise and communicate to a wide range of different people will also stand you in good stead. You will need a full UK driving licence, hold a PA1 and PA6 licence and understand health and safety and management of risk associatedwith a horticultural environment.
