The Logistics People are looking for Packing Planners to join our team.
Location - Dudley
Pay Rate - £23,000 - £24,000 P/a
Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday 08.30 - 16.30
As a key member of the Factory Planning Team, the Materials & Transport Planner is responsible for managing WIP deliveries to site in accordance with the plan, keeping stock levels on site in line with warehouse capacity, whilst also managing number of vehiclesand pallets to site on a daily basis.
**Specific tasks include (please note that this list is not exhaustive)**:
- Request SPI / Pack spec information from Customer
- Form relationship with Customer Technical Departments
- Manage customer sign off of SPI's in line with new products / amendments
- Create new material &finished line codes in Vision
- Update & amend all key information for finished goods (Gold standard info, planned rates, labour per product, customer, UOM, qty per pallet)
- Update & amend all key information for Materials (UOM, qty per pallet, supplier
- Create BOM's for new lines
- Amend existing BOM's
- Attend/ arrange Pre production meetings and Mondelez meetings
- Handover SPI's to Quality / Technical
- Manage internal SPI file
- Manage priorities based on production plans
- Manage & maintain internal price files within Vision
- Maintain all system Master Data.
- Primary contact for factory in relation to packaging availability for plan.
- Co-ordinate the provision of all packaging to site, to deliver plan. ( Please see separate job Detail )
- Be role model for others at all times and demonstrate the IPS behaviours
- Manage procurement for all site packaging and Consumable
- Work delivery schedule to Warehouse capacity
- Establish JIT delivery for Packaging and consumable materials
- Holiday cover for planning department.
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post
**Good interpersonal skills are vital. You must also have the confidence to challenge personnel and communicate with external customers. Computer skills are essential (Including Word and Excel).**
