**Residential Childcare Worker Supervisor (fixed term contract 6 months)**

**Salary £34,071.75****:

- £35,844.00 p/a **(based on working a 40-hour week and including sleepover payments based on working 6 sleeps per month. NB: Sleepover payments may vary depending on rota. Basic salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

**Role Summary**:
The Residential Child Care Worker Supervisor role is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a Residential Child Care Worker who is looking for career development, the responsibility of delivering valuable support to other team members and having a real influence on the operational practice of our services.

**What will you be doing?**

You will have the opportunity to supervise a group of Residential Child Care Workers, as well as provide day to day care of the young people in the service.

Within this role you will be able to collaborate with the Residential Service Manager and share responsibility for supporting and managing a staff team, enabling them to meet the needs of our children and young people.

You will still get to directly work with young people, families, and stakeholders, whilst taking joint responsibility for compliance, health, and safety, safeguarding, quality, and continuous improvement.

**What do we need from you?**
- Minimum of 2-year experience in a Child Care Worker role
- Previous supervisory experience would be desirable.
- SVQ 3 level 7 Children and Young People and HNC (or equivalent acceptable degree with at least 96 credits).
- Flexibility of working a 24-hour shift pattern over 7 days, and the ability to commit to sleep overs.
- Experience of working collaboratively with other agency professionals
- A motivated ‘can do’ attitude, team ethos, strong relationship building/people skills and the ability to lead and support the development of a team.
- Ability to work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with all young people in order to promote good relationships and encourage achievement, while being a positive role model.
- An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation
- Commitment to the principle of continuing professional development/achievement of necessary qualifications
- Good physical health and a high level of emotional resilience (from time to time, there may be a requirement for physical interventions)
- A valid manual driving licence driving licence (essential)
- PVG check (company funded)
