The Role: Warehouse Experts required (Key Room, Hazardous Goods, Material Inspection)

Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover GlobalParts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire.The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investmentprogram already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

PLEASE NOTE:We will be recruiting for immediate starts with an initial training period of approximately 3 months at our site in Baginton CV3 4FZ - travel expenses will be covered.
**Warehouse Expert Responsibilities include:**:

- Support in the set up and delivery of a brand new warehouse
- Become an expert in one of three key areas;
- Key Room - Supporting the production of JLR Keys and VIN plates. Working directly with the client in a controlled area of the warehouse.
- Material Inspection - Inspecting automotive parts, looking at detailed drawings and auditing material against them. Assessing for conformity and to support claim adjudication
- Hazardous Goods - Supporting the outbound operation with the packing of hazardous goods ready for dispatch. Ensuring correct packaging materials are used for the correct goods and the documentation is completed and submitted correctly
- Provide entire life-cycle support, from go-live to training in processes
- Perform warehouse tasks efficiently and with high quality
- Adapt to unexpected events and continue to deliver agreed plans and objectives
- Proactively use problem solving techniques to explore and promote any initiatives that support driving costs down
- Support continuous improvement activities within the team

**Warehouse Expert Requirements:**
- Experience with SAP WMS or similar
- Previous exposure in Supply Chain and/ or Logistics
- Experience in the Automotive sector would be an advantage
- Sound basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace suite
- Ability to work under pressure in a challenging and constantly changing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
- Responsible and confident approach to work duties; self-motivated, self-starter
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Quality focused with attention to detail

**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
**Salary**: £10.87 per hour (£22,609.60 per year) + additional skills supplement
