**Role Summary**

To assist in the manufacture of Printed Folded Cartons to the required glued specification, inline with business and customer objectives.

The Gluer Assist is responsible for feeding and packing product produced through the gluing machines in a safe manner, in line with the customer specification and to the required quality.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring all safe systems of work and standard operating procedures are always adhered to in Health & Safety, Production and Quality, as set out by the company
- Assist the machine operator in feeding and packing the Folding Gluing machines, to an agreed customer specification, monitoring quality always, ensuring any defect is highlighted
- Complete all related paperwork and input data accurately
- Assist the operator in carrying out maintenance and ensure the machines are kept in a good mechanical working order, reporting any issues to management
- Ensure the housekeeping of the machine and working area, is maintained, in line with the company standard
- Identify areas of improvements and work in a proactive manner

Any other duties that can be reasonably expected of the role

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- No qualifications required but previous experience in manufacturing would be advantageous. However, whilst previous experience is an advantage, an attitude to learn is more important
- Positive “can do” attitude, and flexible to work on a variety of different sections within the department when required
- Flexibility at times of change is also key
- The ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail is key
- Working well with others in a small team is a regular part of the role
- Patience and the ability to work well during busy production periods
- The ability to accept direction and work without constant supervision
- Physical skills like movement, coordination and dexterity
- Excellent verbal communication skills

This role is working a 3-shift pattern working earlies, lates and nights.

Strictly no agencies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.12-£14.49 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
