Barista / Cafe Assistant

We are seeking a Cafe Assistant to join us at our Oties Cafe. Oties is our popular coffee shop serving fresh sandwiches, waffles, pancakes, ice-cream sundaes, smoothies, ice creams and pastries as well as freshly made tea and coffee.

Old Thorns is a four-star hotel resort in Liphook, Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from Guildford and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers luxury accommodation, conference and function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants and bars and a championship golf course.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the cafe
- Ensure that customers are receiving the highest possible standards of service
- To make quality drinks and food according to recipe
- To ensuring the store is presentable at all times
- To welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
- To assist with opening and closing of the cafe
- To ensure cleanliness of work areas is maintained

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required**:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferable
- Smart personal presentation and polite and friendly manner
- Passionate about delivering the highest standards of customer care
- Excellent standards of spoken English

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
