**The Role**

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and administrator to join our Finance team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payment processing, and assisting the Finance team in various financial tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Process payments, invoices, POs and receipts and accurately entering data into the accounting software.
- Manage vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments and tracking bank account balances.
- Reconcile accounts and inventory on a monthly basis.
- Oversee intercompany transactions in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Complete and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulations.
- Meticulously verify the accuracy of business accounts, identifying and alerting the Accountant of any errors.
- Document inconsistencies and discrepancies to aid the Finance team in reconciling inaccuracies.
- Prepare employee wages, manage employee expense claims, and prepare and submit pension and PAYE filings.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance and operational team and assist in preparing yearly accounts.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in bookkeeping, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using Xero accounting software is essential, proficiency in NetSuite is an asset.
- Computer literacy, especially familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
