The Communications and Marketing directorate plays a crucial role in the Trust. We tell the remarkable stories that emerge from all the places we look after. We promote the mission and cause of Europe’s biggest conservation charity, and we show how everyonecan get involved, everyone can make a difference We have an opportunity for a Senior Communications & Marketing Lead to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment basis. This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employeereturns from maternity leave.At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and to carry out work
What you'll be doing As part of the Communications & Marketing (C&M) Directorate, you’ll report to Head of Planning & Operations for C&M, and you’ll provide senior communications and marketing leadership focussed in on our Support & Revenue (S&R) directorate.You’ll also manage two Communications & Marketing Leads.
You’ll be a strategic partner taking a long-term view, building propositions that bridge both audience and organisational needs. You’ll give clear direction to the C&M directorate, and you’ll work to ensure the Audience Plan delivers for S&R.
You’ll champion C&M. Working with other directorates you’ll understand their objectives and how you can work to help them be achieved. You’ll use your knowledge to advise and influence and be the main contact for senior stakeholders.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- An understanding of the Communications and Marketing mix, including Brand Management and multi-channel delivery -Knowledge of aligning strategy and delivery, balancing resource and capacity -Knowledge of audience insight and how to develop propositions toserve and grow an audience -Confident building and delivering new business processes, both project managing and facilitating -Able to build strong working relationship and advocating for others -Experience of working with large scale budgets across multiplechannels -Experience of working with senior stakeholders and managing third party agencies
