Foundry Operative

Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Foundry Operative to work for our prestigious client based in Willenhall.
- Taking instructions from the foundry lead person to determine work processes
- Weighing specified amounts of materials as needed by each project module
- Operating and calibrating machinery to make it process-ready
- Using various hand tools such as grinders and mallets
- Working with dies using wrenches, bolts, and tap screws
- Ensuring that ventilation procedures are followed throughout the procedure
- Charging melting furnaces with proper alloys
- Ensuring proper melting by adjusting temperatures and performing degassing
- Spraying binders on surfaces of sand molds, and dry surfaces using blowtorches
- Installing and removing steel jackets and bands used for holding snap molds together
- Sorting casting into pairs, and pull reinforcing wires from castings
- Removing castings from molds and place them on setting rings
- Directing high-pressure streams of water onto castings to clean them
- Carefully track the temperature gauges and colors
- Adjusting dials and gauges to ensure proper heat distribution
- Performing preventative and regular maintenance on melting and mold machines
- Ensuring that all work areas are properly cleaned and maintained
- Good communication skills are essential for this role

**Hours**: 7am - 5pm

**Pay Rate**: £9.50phr

**Position**: Temporary ongoing (opportunity to progress and go permanent with the company)
