**What we do.**

This particular role is at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.

**About the role.**

You will work with a team of QA Auditors to deliver company quality standards. Supporting QA Manager and Technical Manager you will make sure compliance and food safety requirements are met.

**Accountabilities**:

- Participate and direct QA team to observe and audit production processes and GMP, ensuring products are made to specification and within customer codes of practice and Bakkavor standards, reporting findings to managers as appropriate
- Assist in delivery of site standards for visits and audits either through direct input, indirect support and / or organisation of QA team activities
- Coordinate non-conformance findings including actions taken and report to relevant department ensuring completion of any required corrective actions
- Ensure products and ingredients are evaluated against specification
- Support the promotion of a quality culture and help to develop the quality management system
- Coordinate QA requirements for product launches e.g. update of required documentation / systems, liaison with Process team / line support to ensure product is manufactured to correct standard
- Plan and co-ordinate work of the QA team to meet requirements of the quality management system and the needs of the business

**About you.**
- Ideally you will have a good practical working knowledge of food safety legislation and quality requirements.
- A strong QA background is desirable for this role but more importantly you will be energetic, punctual, proactive, and reliable with the ability to lead, guide, and motivate others towards achievement.
- HACCP knowledge, a food science qualification or equivalent and experience in the manufacturing industry will be favourable
