Are you passionate about supporting young people with **Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)**? TalentBoard is seeking **dedicated and compassionate Mentors** to work across **mainstream and specialist schools in Wirral**, helping students with **SEMH, ADHD**, and other behavioural challenges thrive in their educational journey.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide **1:1 and small group mentoring** to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Implement tailored strategies to promote **positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing**.
- Deliver targeted **intervention programmes** such as conflict resolution and anger management.
- Build trust and act as a **positive role model** for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and leadership teams to develop and implement behaviour plans.
- Support inclusive learning environments and assist with **smooth transitions** for pupils.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
**Skills & Attributes**
- **Excellent communication skills** to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
- **Empathy and patience** to support students with complex needs.
- Knowledge of **behaviour management techniques** and de-escalation strategies.
- Strong **problem-solving abilities** and resilience in challenging situations.
- Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage intervention plans.
- A team player who collaborates well with school staff and external agencies.
- Understanding of **safeguarding practices** (training provided if needed).
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND.
