Female Personal Assistant is required to support a disabled child, who is completely blind and has a learning disability, to help her at home and to access social and leisure activities within the community.

A CAR OWNER AND DRIVER, WITH A FULL DRIVING LICENCE, IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.

**MAIN DUTIES**:

- Support to learn independent living skills
- Assistance with personal care; including getting dressed and toilet routines
- Support while parents are caring for other disabled child
- Escorting the child to events and outings
- Support during social and leisure activities; able to transport child to external social activities, and be able to engage them safely in these activities, including (but not limited to) parks / playgrounds / soft play centres / swimming

HOURS OF WORK are **6 hours per week **as follows:
2 - 3 hours after school hours during one weeknight, and the remaining hours would be worked on a **Saturday afternoon**

The rate of pay is **£11.10 per hour.**

The successful applicant for this role will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check. Warrington Borough Council will cover the cost for this.
