Male Support Worker

£12.10 per hour (£60 per sleep shift)

Part-time, 14 hours per week (plus 1 sleep-in shift)

We support an active young man in his early 20s who can be out for hours on his bike and loves walking, fishing and gardening.

When at home, he loves watching motocross, doing woodwork, playing his computer games and cooking with his support team.

He has a mild learning disability and needs our support to help him live independently and to achieve his goals.

A resilient support worker who also enjoys long bike rides or getting involved in anything practical would be a wonderful match.

What will I be doing?
- This gentleman is looking for support with everyday tasks such as his budgeting, medication, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- He is independent in terms of his personal care but appreciates some friendly encouragement and reminders
- At times he can experience behaviours of distress so previous experience supporting people with autism and complex behaviours is essential if you want to join his team

Shift Patterns:

- 9am
- 9am the following day (including a £45 sleepover shift) - Potential to only work 1 to 2 days a week depending on shift patterns.
- Sleepover shifts - covers hours between 10pm -8am
- Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance.
