**About us**

SHALDON BAKERY is a small business in Newton Abbot. We are a local craft Bakery that supplies the local area with wholesale deliveries and we also supply our own shops. We are a close knit team and our staff have been here for numerous years. Two days per week and to cover holidays - 16 hour contract. Applicants must have experience with doughs and ovens.

Baker

**Duties**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread and morning goods.
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Mix ingredients and knead dough by hand or using mixers
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures or timing as needed
- Decorate and present finished products in an appealing manner
- Clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils, and work area
- Collaborate with other Bakery staff to ensure efficient operations

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a baker in a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in designing and decorating baked goods
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays or equipment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to £24,000.00 per year
