Axon Moore are partnering with a successful and growing PE backed SME in Chorley to recruit an ambitious Commercial Manager.
This is an excellent varied opportunity to step into a high level role within an established business, with the opportunity to drive change and make the role their own. This individual will gain exceptional exposure and shadow and learn from a high calibreand supportive Head of Commercial.
Responsibilities include:

- To pro-actively identify leads and opportunities for growth within your business unit.
- To support the business unit in the generation of tenders for all opportunities.
- Provision of advice on commercial issues to the Operational and Managing Director.
- Management of work in progress risk, via accurate billing, and support with payment collection.
- Execution of the measurement process for all measured terms contracts (MTS) ordered works.
- Preparation of any sub-contract tender requirements and suitable payment terms with suppliers
- Assist the operations team in capturing costs that are accurate against the appropriate works budget.
- Help develop a robust Procurement Strategy for the Company.
- Use the Management Information System (MIS/Internal Software) to track works progress and report on any contract KPI’s.
- Develop the Management Information System (MIS) as an accurate financial reporting tool.
- Assist with risk management and mitigation.
- Preparation of contract final accounts to the Operational Teams.
- Maintaining visibility of expenditure to ensure works are completed to budget.
- Financial support to the Financial controller and preparation of monthly CVR’s (cost, value, reconciliation) as when required.
- Management of 4 direct reports
