Yard Supervisor

**Yard Supervisor Responsibilities and Duties for Envirocare Grounds Maintenance Head Office**

Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance to safety policies. Maintain neat and clean yard at all times.

Monitor any parking issues and any overload of skips, waste bays, including brash, white goods, leafs, grass cuttings and compost bays.

Additional tasks produced by any other recycling that may be undertaken at the commercial yard.

Implement yard fire protection programs provided by the H&S Co-ordinator to ensure fire safety. Supervise and aid company staff in all yard operations. Perform and implement all safe work procedures.

Coordinate with depot managers and receive all materials and deliveries for same. Telehandler or forklift licence necessary for unloading large items, plants, turf, landscape materials etc.

Ensure proper handling of all materials and store it appropriately.

Monitor inventory of yard supplies and place purchase orders as necessary.

Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on yard installations or equipment as requested by depot manager.

Monitor loading of materials by operational staff to ensure safe transfer to other depots or site locations.

Deliveries to other depots or site locations to be scheduled within the day as necessary and required by depot managers. Must be able to drive and tow.

Deliveries could include materials or equipment pertaining to the job or a trailer or vehicle.

Coordinate with other departments and investigate any yard accidents and identify root cause of any wear and tear or damage on site.

Monitor entrance and exit of employees on site and bring to management attention anything out of the ordinary.

**Salary**: £24,960.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leyland, PR25 5DB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- yard or warehouse supervisor: 4 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- Telehandler fork lift training certificate (preferred)
- Trailer licence (preferred)
