Ramadan Volunteers

Mother Helpage UK is a leading charity committed to supporting vulnerable communities both locally and globally. Our work focuses on providing access to education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and emergency relief. Based in Derby, we are now looking for volunteer fundraisers to support and fundraise during our seasonal campaigns.

**Job Role**:
As a **fundraising **volunteer, your role is key to keeping our **life-changing projects** alive. With an innovative mind, you will take the lead by organising your own events and activities that will **affect lives** around the world. Mother Helpage is committed to supporting our volunteers and whether it be financial or professional advice our staff are on hand to make your event a success.

Our annual Ramadan Campaign is our biggest, busiest, most exciting time of the year where we raise essential funds to alleviate poverty around the world. During Ramadan we focus on a number of projects including feeding the fasting, providing welfare for orphans and children, responding to emergencies as well as being a virtuous opportunity for people to pay their annual Zakat (charitable donations) and contribute to Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). None of this would be possible without the dedication, support and time of our Mother Helpage Volunteers.

Maybe you are interested in hosting a bucket shake at your local mosque or community centre, supporting with our Ramadan Iftar events across Derby and Nottingham or hosting your own fundraising event in aid of Mother Helpage, we would like to hear from you.

**Qualifications**
- Strong commitment to community service and volunteerism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities
- Basic understanding of cultural sensitivities, particularly during Ramadan
- Previous experience in volunteer roles or community outreach is a plus

**Job Type**: Volunteer

Pay: £1.00-£1.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
