You will be based in Yorkshire, Humber or Tees Valley and travel to engage with partners across the whole of the Region. It will also be importantfor you to keep in touch with developments across the UK Network (UKN), The Regional Funding Team and British Business Bank (BBB) more generally, so regular visits to BBB main offices in Sheffield/London will also be required. You will act as BBB’s "In the Field" representative in Yorkshire, Humber and Tees Valley and be active in developing active relationships with a diverse network of key organisations involved in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a post-Covid-19trading environment. These organisations will be from across the public, private and third sectors and SME member organisation sectors. You will maintain regular and ongoing dialogue with these stakeholders to gather intel and ensure the BBB has an accurate and up to date understanding of the access to finance landscape in the Region. The role will also involve maintaining the BBB CRM system with details of Yorkshire, Humber and Tees Valley stakeholders and intel from stakeholder meetings, so BBB develops rich and detailed knowledge on the SME access to finance eco-system in the Region. To be considered for this role you will ideally have an existing and active network within the SME support and/or economic development ecosystem in Yorkshire, Humber and Tees Valley. You must have knowledge and experience of the SME access to finance eco-systemin Yorkshire, Humber and Tees Valley (this could have been gained as an entrepreneur); You will also have experience of building successful long-term relationships across a diverse range of external partners and stakeholders and an empathy with SMEs and be passionate about working to support them. You will be open and possess a collaborative approach, willing to speak up on issues both internally and externally; and be comfortable operating with ambiguity in a changing environment.
