**Responsibilities**

**As a Site Working Foreman, you'll need to**:

- Ensure all work and standards carried out on site are of high quality
- Be the client liaison
- Implement, practice & promote excellent health and safety measures including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
- Perform on-site audits, toolbox talks, & inductions
- With the help of your assigned project co-ordinator, you will plan and coordinate projects from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget
- Plan the work and oversee the ordering of your site materials and equipment
- Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
- Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, working to budgets (avoiding waste) and monitoring progress
- Check design documents with architects/design team, surveyors and engineers if needed
- Report updates of progress on a weekly basis
- Maintain regular communication with our Construction Manager
- Ensure all your own required Health and Safety documents & certificates are kept in date

**Skills**

You'll need:

- Strong communication skills - for liaising with a wide range of clients, professionals and workers on site
- Leadership skills and an ability to motivate and ensure a high standard of work
- Excellent planning and organisational skills - for monitoring project plans and schedules and utilising time and resources effectively
- Compliance toward the Milestone Builders Core Values
- Resilience and problem-solving skills - in order to overcome unexpected challenges during the construction process
- An ability to make decisions under pressure, so that the project can progress
- Strong attention to detail for conducting site inspections and managing complex contracts
- An awareness of health and safety procedures and legislation - for running a safe construction site
- Sound commercial awareness - to allocate and manage your budget effectively and to understand client concerns
- First Aid
- CSCS (preferred but not necessary)
- SMSTS
- Asbestos Awareness (preferred but not necessary)
- Driving License

At least 2 years experience as a Site Working Foreman

Joinery/Masonary/Domestic Construction: 3 years (preferred)
