Barista

Reporting to the Front of House Manager you'll oversee the preparation and service of food and drink within The Chocolate Quarter's 'B Block' café.

You will be serving expertly crafted coffee with enthusiasm, pride and with a genuine passion for amazing customer service. As Barista you'll be an effective multi-tasker, accustomed to working under pressure as you take orders and prepare hot and cold beveragesfor customers in The Chocolate Quarter.

While overseeing the day to day running of your place of work, you'll keep a check on quality and troubleshoot or refer to the Front of House manager as appropriate. Your duties will also include keeping track of stock levels, overseeing reports on maintenanceand ensuring that team members receive work schedules and are fully trained in making speciality coffees.

For this role you'll have exceptional customer service skills, providing details on products such as coffee blends, describing menus and helping pick out food and refreshments that might be appealing to residents and visitors. Where relevant you'll alsocoordinate light snacks and beverages as you respond to adhoc requests. On conference days you'll be the main point of contact ensuring that catering runs smoothly for events. A great team worker with excellent listening skills, you'll deliver a full serviceaccording to the needs of the customer and the line manager's direction. This role is 37.5 hours per week to include some weekends and evenings.
