The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800's AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms. We are currently looking for a **Restaurant Waiter**to join our Truly Talented team. Responsibilities of **Restaurant Waiter**will include but are not limited to: - Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests; - Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times; - Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner; - Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets; - Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu; - Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection; - Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly. The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting. **The core skills and experience required to succeed** - Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry; - Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential; - Excellent personal presentation; - Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures; - Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision; - Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ; - To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
