**JOB DESCRIPTION - After School Club Assistant**

**WMB Childcare Ltd **working in partnership with Manchester City Council delivers quality childcare to Manchester community. At WMB Childcare Ltd our aim is to lay solid early years foundation for children in our care. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. We have Six Nurseries under our management.

We are looking to employ amazing Afterschool Club Assistant/ Nursery Assistant to create a fun and exciting environment for the children to play and learn in.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB**: To provide safe, high quality play opportunities and care for children, and assist with the day to day organisation and operation of the club.

The main responsibilities and personal duties are:

- To prepare the room for the afternoon session.
- To help create stimulating and exciting play opportunities for all pupils.
- To prepare snacks.
- To interact with all pupils.
- To greet the pupils and settle them into the club.
- To liaise with parents.
- To liaise with other team members.
- To ensure the setting is safe.
- To ensure the setting is left in a clean and tidy state ready for the next session.

This post requires a DBS check as there may be periods of unsupervised access to children. An Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references would be obtained prior to commencement of employment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £9.50 per hour
