Airtrace® Sheet Metal are probably the UK’s largest manufacturer of supply-only sheet metal ductwork. From our substantial manufacturing plant in East Sussex, we supply ductwork to contractors needing high-quality ductwork at a competitive price, with a fast turnaround. We specialise in the fabrication of sheet metal and ductwork for the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry, manufacturing to the highest standards.

Airtrace® are committed to its employees and customers by providing Safety, Quality and Teamwork throughout the workplace. Airtrace® has a great opportunity for an **IT Assistant**to join our successful, fast-paced team based in our busy Eastbourne office, working either full time or part time.

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual. **Starting salary £25,000 - £27,000**, you will be paid according to your experience which will be discussed in the interview.

**Working Hours**:
Mid Shift: 8.30am to 5.30pm

The position is working Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose and resolve common IT issues related to software, hardware, networks, and peripherals in the factory and office.
- Escalate complex issues to the next-line support as needed.
- Assist in setting up and configuring IT equipment (computers, printers, etc.).
- Contribute to IT documentation and help resources for end users.
- Assist with the ongoing development, maintenance and coding of websites, apps and QUIDS.
- Monitor the CCTV systems and assist with recording of footage as required.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining all hardware whether existing or new.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and software installations.
- Follow IT best practices and security protocols.
- Be flexible and responsive in your approach to problem-solving.

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with common IT issues, operating systems (Windows), and basic networking.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of office software and hardware setup.
- Basic knowledge of programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or PHP)
- Previous experience in IT support or a customer service role _(preferred but not essential)_.
