We are currently recruiting for an experienced Wellbeing Practitioner to become part of a team in providing excellent quality of support to people using the Sequoia Tree Service.
Sequoia is a new support offer across the BNSSG locality and is delivered in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Partnership (AWP) Trust. This will require the post holder to work cohesively with the partnership as one integrated service including attending team meetings, reflective practice sessions and meeting in shared locations regularly.
The core hours of the service are from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with possibility of occasional evening working when needed. Both the location and operating hours are to be continuously reviewed as the service evolves, incorporating feedback from staff and service users. There is an aspiration to extend the operating hours of the service to 8am-8pm as the service expands
- Work proactively and collaboratively with others; I am creative, adaptable, and bring a positive enthusiasm to my work
- I have experience and knowledge of the best ways to support people who have a diagnosis of personality disorder or complex emotional needs
- I have experience of dealing with and reporting Incidents/Accidents/Near Misses and safeguarding reporting
- I have the ability to assess, plan and monitor support to achieve & evidence recovery and service outcomes
- I have excellent time management skills with ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload
- I demonstrate a significant knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with mental illness and I am familiar with best practice developments
- I have experience of supporting people experiencing mental health crisis and those with complex emotional needs who are at risk of crisis.
- I have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues of all levels
- I will engage with and place service users, including carers, at the heart of our services
- Excellent IT skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- I have a strong working knowledge of mental health and appropriate intervention methods# QCF Diploma or NVQ level 3 in Care or Certificate in Community Mental Healthcare (or working towards) or an equivalent qualification.
- I am able to travel freely and flexibly across the BNSSG locality area in order to work effectively with people accessing our service.
