Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Y6 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible for a school based in S6. The schools aim is to ensure that children have the best possible education that equips them with the skills, knowledge, qualitiesand values that will follow them through life.The role is full time from as soon as possible, and will supporting both whole classroom and in small groups. Previous expereince within Y6 is essential.

Role responsibilities:

- Collaborating with the class teacher to assist the effective delivery of the lesson plans
- Helping plan and set up classroom and outdoor activities to facilitate learning in alignment with the curriculum
- Maintaining good classroom behaviour and minimising disruptions
- Ensuring that pupils are engaged in the class and keep on track with work
- NVQ 3 For Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) (Non-essential)
- Experience supporting within a classroom setting
- Previous experience supporting in Y6 (essential)
- Other relevant training, eg. Phonics & Maths Interventions, Makaton, Team Teach, Additional Language fluency (Non-essential)
- First Aid Training (Non-essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
