**Procurement Professional**
Would you like to play a key role supporting the strategic management of multiple contracts, ensuring the successful procurement of parts and materials? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Professional at our sites in either Glascoed, near Newport South Wales / Radway Green, Crewe / Washington, Tyne & Wear.
As a Procurement Professional, you will be responsible for carrying out activities around supplier engagement, managing RFQ’s, sourcing new business and influencing the direction of how the sourcing is achieved, this will require regular engagement with both internal & external stakeholders.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a fast paced project where you will learn and develop very quickly around procurement competencies. This can allow for quick development opportunities.
**Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Professional will involve**:
- Supporting the execution of determined Category Strategies in collaboration with other functions and wider business network
- Supporting the development of effective Supplier Strategies in collaboration with other functions and wider business network
- Working alongside Engineering and other functions to support the implementation of our NGMS category strategies
- Driving our sourcing plans to ensure business and supply continuity
- Developing effective strategic relationships with suppliers in category
- Working alongside Procurement Programme Managers and Procurement Delivery Team to implement agreed Category & Supplier Strategies
- Identifying, Reporting and Mitigating Category and Supplier Risks
- Pursuing cost reduction and avoidance opportunities, working with Multifunctional teams
- Leading supplier approval and onboarding process in collaboration with Supplier Quality Team and other functional support areas as required
**Your skills and qualifications**:
Essential:
Experience with Procurement Sourcing
Experience with Procurement strategy
Experience within singular organisations
Managing RFQ activities
Desirable:
Legal contracting experience
CIPS qualified (must be willing to work towards if this is not held)
Degree qualified
