The purpose of our Indirect Procurement function is to work with the business to deliver scalable Commercial and Procurement solutions. Our mission is to procure responsibly, reduce cost to serve and deliver excellent third-party solutions across the business. We are responsible for optimising and driving value across all indirect spend.
As the Indirect Sourcing Buyer for Logistics, you will support senior stakeholders across the Supply Chain & Logistics teams, acting as a single point of contact to purchase goods and services in line with Global processes, category plans and principles.
**What you will do**
- Accountable for executing procurement activities against the Supply Chain strategy in relation to all transport modes including: Air, Sea, Road, and Rail.
- Responsible for buying and sourcing of indirect goods and services within Logistics, ensuring a balance between cost, quality, time and risk.
- Leading local and international tenders.
- Identifying and delivering competitive tendering, negotiation, and market engagement.
- Work effectively with local carrier account managers and influence at Global account level.
- Manage the total cost of operating, including potential costs of switching carriers.
**A bit about you**
- Experience working in a Logistics procurement role.
- Experience of procuring and negotiating contracts related to the provision of: Multi-modal Logistics, Warehousing, Dangerous Goods, Customs Brokerage, and related services.
- Specific experience working with a variety of transport carriers including the global parcel integrators, domestic parcel carriers across EMEA and APAC and freight forwarders is desirable.
- Experience of working globally across Logistics and Supply Chain operations, particularly in parcel-based businesses.
- Ability to develop rapport and trust to lead sourcing and evaluation with key stakeholders in a virtual environment.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of Source to Contract, Contract Authoring and Negotiation and Contract Management.
- High energy and passionate about adding commercial value.
