Tutor

**Tutor, Full time, Carlisle, Up to £25,000 per annum**

We are supporting a well known training provider based in Cumbria to recruit a Tutor who has with experience of supporting learners working towards their qualifications. Ideally you will have competency/work experience delivering/supporting students studyingfor; Customer Services, Business Admin, Work Skills, Retail and functional skills. Our client is offering a salary of up to £25,000 per annum.

The position is Carlisle city centre-based and there may be a requirement to travel to a variety of location across Cumbria. The role of Tutor will involve;
- Supporting learners undertaking qualifications within a timely manner and to high standards
- Provide information and guidance to the learner maintain documentation of learner’s progress
- Working closely with the IQA team to maintain a high quality delivery.
- Identify individuals’ training and support needs as part of the induction process, record this in their training plans and plan or modify delivery as necessary.
- Instruct learners in the relevant topic in accordance with their abilities and to the content, level and quality needed to meet the standards of the qualification.
- By interview, observation and portfolio, assess learner’s proficiency against the course syllabus and qualification standards, and ensure the appropriate achievement records are completed.
- Where appropriate, liaise with other staff to obtain suitable project work to meet the needs of the programme.
- Carry out regular reviews of learners in order to ensure progress.
- Document and maintain records of attendance, assessment and learner progress, and liaise with appropriate bodies to ensure the learner achieves the award on completion of the course.
- Develop and manage partnerships with local partners, promoting the work that the company does.

In this role you will deliver your vocational specialisms while embedding Functional Skills into schemes of work and lesson plans. You will be required to devise a programme of learning with appropriate effective teaching and learning strategies, resourcesand assessments. This role is based in Carlisle City centre in modern, comfortable offices with excellentclassroom facilities. You will receive a full induction and training.

It is essential that you can drive and you must hold a full clean driving license in addition to a flexibleapproach to working hours and travel to other parts of Cumbria. We are looking for solmeone who has;
- Assessor Qualification or willingness to work towards
- Recognised teaching/Training qualification e.g. PTLLS/CAVA/L3 in Education & TRaining or equiv
- GCSE's in Maths and English Language above a grade C
- Competency in Health & Social Care, Team Leading & Management, Warehousing or hospitality desirable
- IQA qualification desirable
