Purchasing Coordinator
My client is a fast growing company, where the scale and complexity of jobs is expanding and demands increased levels of procuring, and accounting for, equipment. As they continue to evolve, they are looking for a dynamic Purchasing Executive to provide assistanceto the procurement team by taking responsibility of the day-to-day purchasing requirements of the
company.
In a fast moving world, the ability to strike up good working relationships with suppliers, have an exceptional eye for detail and a tenacity for leaving no stone unturned are crucial. Based within the Operations Team, this role is based in their HQ in Didcotand involves working closely with all teams including Sales, Design and Project Delivery etc.

Typically, the duties of the Purchasing Executive will include:
Procurement
- ? Be the day-to-day point of contact with our suppliers, establishing productive working
relationships.
? Provide additional support to the sales team during the bidding/tendering process, by
obtaining and appraising quotes from suppliers to find the best pricing.
? Set up and manage accounts for partner portals.
? Review supplier base and negotiate best prices for products from suppliers.
? Collate and assess upcoming requirements to exploit economy of scale.
Order Administration
- ? Establish lead time on all orders and update purchase orders with details.
? Keep all relevant parties informed of any delays, and suggest viable alternatives when
possible.
? Participate in weekly project delivery meetings to understand upcoming requirements and
changes in jobs.
? Oversee returns procedure, ensuring that this happens in a timely manner.
? Reconcile invoice queries.
Stock Management
- ? Maintain company stock records, including addition of new parts, updating of costs, removal
of redundant parts.
? Add and maintain vendors to items keeping part codes and prices aligned.
? Ensure all pricing on systems is current, up to date and where available tied into suppliers
live XML/API feeds.
? Work hand in hand with the warehouse team to understand shortfalls in stock.
Key Competencies
- ? Exceptional Microsoft Office 365 skills - including, but not limited to Sharepoint andTeams.
? Be an enthusiastic team player and have the ability to strike up great relationships both in
person and remotely.
? Phenomenal multitasker and capable of maintaining multiple issues at once.
? The desire to be part of a growing company and build and grow with it.
