**Cyber Disaster Recovery Officer - North England and Scotland - £45,000 to £55,000 + Company Car**:

The Cyber Disaster Recovery Officer is responsible for supporting the National Gas security and business continuity functions in preparing for a potential black start incident by ensuring critical resilience and business continuity is embedded in National Gas Operations.

This role will be responsible for supporting National Gas Transmission in the approach to Crisis & Incident Response, which may include a national Electricity Blackout. Ensuring all gas assets are in good working condition 24/7, 365 days per year.

The role will involve working with external interfaces such as Operations, to ensure critical Operational Site Emergency plans are developed and tested. This will include updating corresponding Policy and Procedures to reflect learning and best practice.

This role is more than just following a business continuity plan. We are looking for a motivated individual to drive continuous improvement in our ability to respond and recover in the event of a cyber incident. You will mentor and train operational staff on the Business Continuity Plan.

To be successful in this role you will come from a Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation background. Gas industry experience is advantageous, but we recognise the vast skillsets in other sectors as well such as FMCG, Chemical and Military.

Whilst you don't need any specific Cyber qualifications, you will have strong desire to take your next career step in this direction. Speaking of qualifications, we'll invest a significant amount of time as well as a five-figure budget in ensuring you are set up for success in this role.
