Your Teaching career starts here. The school is looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join their school in Doncaster where you will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involvedin as many decisions as possible.?

??As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA ?your day will be varied and interesting. As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will support teachers by assisting in the classrooms or out in the community, whilst following a flexible structureand supporting children and young people unlock their passion for learning.

The school is an alternative education provision, that works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings. The school offers education on an outreach basis or within one of our Ofsted registered a school.

As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will be working within a Trauma informed practice model where you can support and ?follow a therapeutic practice.

**ABOUT THE ORGANISATION**

??The organisation is a Social Enterprise who have been turning children’s lives around since 1989.

The organisation offers a range of supportive, safe environments for children and young people whom mainstream and other school settings have not worked. The Ofsted registered and rated independent schools around England offer a range of academic, vocational,SEN and disabilities (SEND) options.

**THE TEAM**

The school is being developed and will consist of two buildings on a 4-acre site, in a rural setting. The school will cater to very small class groups of children, promoting social engagement. This is their outreach alternative provision attached to theschool for children who are not yet ready to access education in a classroom setting.

They are a growing team of 9 who support and teach children in the local community. Their small and friendly team have a range of qualifications and experience in working within the SEMH and SEND field, the is an exciting time for the school provision andthe local community

**WORKING HOURS**

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA your working hours will be:

- Term Time, this goes in line with the local authority
- Full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30am -16:30pm
- The role is full time over 5 days per week, however if you would like the opportunity for part time or compressed hours, the school would be happy to speak to you about this.

**Requirements ?**

As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Good written and IT skills.?
- Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers. ?
- Able to actively listen to others.
- NQTS or QTS registration
- Valid Driving Licence - this is essential for this role
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
