**About this role**
You will be based in our new Security Advisory business unit, a specialist organisation that is responsible across Enterprise, Global and global governments, for the provision of high-end security consulting expertise within client accounts. Creating value, identifying opportunity, influencing design of solutions and differentiating BT Security propositions, you will use an in-depth technical understanding of the security portfolio and the complex threat landscape to position BT Security as an innovative and credible provider of security capabilities.
Providing innovative thought leadership, you’ll work closely with clients delivering specific advisory packages. You’ll be instrumental in generating growth and opportunities within our Focus/Develop/Incubator accounts, thereby influencing the sales strategy to accelerate our business ambitions.
Location is flexible - ideally, we’d like you to be aligned to one of our security hubs in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Ipswich, London or Manchester - but we are happy to discuss this with you too as we support hybrid/smart working in this role.
**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Provide advice and guidance to clients on how to build security strategies and programmes which deliver on their objectives and produce outcomes that they would not have otherwise achieved
- Direct engagement with Decision Makers within new & strategic BT Customer base up to C level.
- Ensure client compliance to security standards.
- Provides technical thought leadership and mentoring to help develop and coach junior team members, as well as potentially line managing a team
- Brand ambassador for BT Security demonstrating our experience & capability in Security to the market and our clients.
- Delivery of BT financial ambition, via gain penetration and pull through from the regional strategic account plans
- Responsible for the recording and tracking of key performance data and making sure that regional revenue, pipeline and ICV is tagged and reported on appropriately.
**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Deep understanding of IT and Security concepts
- Calm & Decisive under pressure - effective at driving calm and effective incident response under pressure at CxO, VP level.
- Practical knowledge and experience of threat assessment, risk management and developments in the security industry
- Knowledgeable in strategy, the drivers of organisational performance, and investment - including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. performance KPIs, business cases, programme directorship)
- Typically qualified to degree level, or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security or related degree
- Appropriate security qualifications such as CISSP, CISM
- Capable of gaining and maintaining a governmental clearance at SC or DV level in the UK
