Maintenance Operative

Currently, we at Care South, are looking for an experienced **Maintenance Operative** to join the team at **Beauchamp House**our residential and nursing country house care home. **Beauchamp House**is a grade 2 listed Georgian Manor House, nestled in the **Somerset** village of **Hatch Beauchamp, Taunton.**

**Key duties will include both planned and reactive maintenance covering: plumbing, heating, electrical, decoration, fire testing, care equipment and carpentry.**

**We are looking for the following skills/ experience**:

- Basic electrical safety certificate
- Knowledge of Plumbing and Legionella
- Excellent attention to detail
- Accurate record keeping
- To use own initiative and work with minimum supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using heating, electrical and fire systems
- MEWPS experience is desirable but not essential
- Heating and/or Plumbing qualifications - ideal but not essential

**Ideally you will have experience of working in a care home or similar environment dealing with a number of maintenance tasks on a daily basis.**
