DAD (Centre for Independent Living) is seeking to recruit a Coproduction Project Officer (Volunteering for Health Project). To co-produce and develop a volunteering infrastructure to ensure people have access to a range of good quality volunteering opportunities in health and social care.

To ensure that barriers for people volunteering are minimised in particular for disabled people, young people and people from minority communities.

**Hours: 21 hours/week**

**Location**:Based at the offices of Darlington Association on Disability in Darlington

**Holidays**: 25 days per annum (pro rata if less than 37.5) plus Bank Holidays. Entitlement increases with length of service (after 3 years) up to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays.

**Other**: Employee Assistant programme, Free GP Helpline, Company Pension, A competitive sick scheme is available after the necessary qualifying period.

**Key Tasks**

To recruit and support volunteer ‘experts’ to obtain their views, experience and their vision on volunteering in Darlington.

Support volunteer experts to be involved fully in co production. From concept and design to delivery and decisions about the best way to deliver volunteer support and services.

To form, develop and motivate relationships with other key organisations to champion co-production and ensure a diverse range of people are represented in co-producing the infrastructure.

Enable and empower the voice of volunteers through co-production activities, establishing a volunteer experts’ forum/network.

Ensure volunteer priorities are fed into the project, and volunteers are actively engaged throughout the project.

To embed a culture of co-production into the volunteering infrastructure that is inclusive and equal between volunteers and services.

Build the skills and knowledge of expert volunteers around co-production.

Plan and organise co-production events and training.

Support the development of the partnership with a particular focus on volunteering for health and social care.

Learn and develop best practice in coproduction by sharing knowledge and experience with others, including organisations specialising in coproduction.

To follow a specific work plan to achieve key milestones of the project.

Ensure excellent communication, in a range of accessible formats.

Ensure the principles of the social model of disability, equal opportunities, inclusion, strength based approach and diversity are embedded in all the work.

Work as part of a team to develop materials and approaches to co-production.

Undertake information gathering including design and production of questionnaires. Undertake analysis and provide regular monitoring reports and information.

Attend meetings, Volunteering for Health workshops and steering groups, including with partners, national projects, organisations and NHS.

Undertake administration needed as part of the project.

Be proactive in ongoing personal and professional development.

Undertake other tasks as deemed necessary by your line manager and /or DAD manager.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £24,375.00-£27,592.00 per year
