**Job Title**: Environmental Advisor
**Location**: Infrastructure South - Site and home Based (Hybrid)
**Reports To**: Lucy Daves ESG Director (initially)
**Role Overview**
As an Environmental Advisor supporting our Infrastructure South contracts, you will play a key role in promoting and driving environmental best practice across our projects. You’ll be a proactive part of our ESG team, working closely with project teams during site set-up and throughout project delivery and beyond to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, contractual requirements and company standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide environmental support and guidance to project teams from pre-construction through to project completion.
- Assist with environmental input into site setup, ensuring compliance with legal, contractual and company requirements.
- Support the preparation and submission of all environmental documentation, including Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), Waste Management Plans, and Consents & Permits.
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure environmental compliance and promote continual improvement.
- Identify and drive environmental innovation and best practice across projects.
- Support the Tilbury Douglas Environmental Management System (EMS) and assist with ISO 14001 compliance.
- Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Deliver environmental toolbox talks and training to site teams.
- Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and industry developments.
**Key Skills & Experience**
- Environmental Science or related discipline qualification.
- Experience in a similar environmental advisory role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices relevant to construction activities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence (site travel is required).
- Understanding of Carbon, or willingness to learn.
