At our Extra Care unit in Uckfield, we provide general care to clients in a homely setting, supporting them with their day to day care needs. Our fantastic team are there to encourage independence and enhance the daily lives of our clients.

This position is to assist clients with both their day to day and mental health needs, working on a one to one basis with them. The duties are varied for this role, but include the following:
**The Role**:

- To provide support to our client with Mental Health needs.
- Assist with mínimal personal care duties.
- Help client with their correspondence.
- Assist with outings into the community (due to COVID these are restricted).
- Meal preparation - cooking, eating with the client.
- Attend hospital/gp appointments with client, and record information in an appropriate manner, reporting back to Line Manager.
- Provide and encourage creative activities to mentally stimulate client.
- Encourage social interaction with others.

**About you**:

- You must have prior working knowledge of Mental Health requirements
- Will need to be proactive in encouraging mental wellness and stability.
- A keen eye for detail and creative.
- Be willing to attend assessments and appointments with client.
- Accurate recording and reporting skills.
- A calming disposition and gentle outlook, coupled with an awareness of needs of client and the ability to take control of a situation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £9.70-£10.70 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
**Experience**:

- Mental Health: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
