Casual Night Porter/public Area Cleaner

**Position Scope**:
To assist guests with services during the night including luggage assistance for arriving and departing guests, advice on local tourist attractions, answer guest questions and resolve guest problems in a friendly and obliging manner. You will be responsible for providing night in-room dining service from 23:00 - 07:00 on a daily basis. The position is a causal 'as and when required' position.
- Greet and welcome guests and direct them to Reception where you are to introduce the guest by name to the Receptionist.
- Assist both arriving and departing guests with baggage handling. Store guest baggage upon request and assist with the loading and unloading of baggage into and out of automobiles.
- Advise guests on the local area (tourism or business locations, sights or events

- Accurate knowledge of hotel facilities and services and answer guest questions and resolve guest problems
- Perform basic Housekeeping and Handyman tasks i.e. changing towels, providing duvets
- Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
- Hoover and mop floors in public and back of house areas. Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
- Clean and maintain lights. Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
- Respond promptly to requests from guests.
- Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
- Previous customer service experience is desired.
- Previous experience in a hotel environment is desired.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-20 per week

**Salary**: From £10.20 per hour
