An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join our friendly team. You will be a key member of the administrative team, providing day-to-day clerical support to the team. You will have excellent administrative and communication skills and be forward thinking. As you are often the first point of contact for young people and families you would be helpful and sensitive to their needs. Ideally you will be someone who can develop the role.
Merton CAMHS is a friendly multidisciplinary team consisting of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Family Therapists, and Nurses. We work with young people who have mental health issues and their families. The administrative team work closely with the clinical team to provide clerical and reception support and oversee the smooth running of the service
The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day clerical support to individual team members.
The post-holder will assist in the maintenance of an office management system, which provides effective communication to team members and others.
The post-holder will often be the first point of contact for members of the general public and referrers who wish to make enquiries.
It is an essential requirement of the post that the post-holder courteously provides information and deals with enquiries.
On occasions the post-holder may be asked to provide cover for absences and sickness for other colleagues.

NVQ Business Administration level 2 or 3 or willingness to work towards
GCSE English or equivalent
Demonstrable experience of administrative & secretarial work
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
Front line customer service experience
Intermediate IT skills to include knowledge of Microsoft packages for example, Word, Excel, Outlook
Fast and accurate copy and audio typing
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use initiative when problem solving
