**Night Shift Warehouse Operative**

Based at our state-of-the-art distribution centre on the outskirts of Preston, James Hall & Co. Ltd have been established for over 150 years proudly serving communities across the North of England as supplier and distributor to over 450 SPAR stores.

The operations team are an integral part of the business and ensure our customers receive the right goods, first time, on time, setting a high standard in our logistics operation.

**Hours and Pay**
- 36 hours per week - over 3 nights.
- Wednesday / Thursday / Friday - 17:30 - 06:00
- A maximum of 6.00 hours compulsory overtime can be called on a weekly basis. _(Predominantly around seasonal volume spikes)_

This must be completed the following week with some flexibility.

Compulsory evenings are as followed, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday from 17:30 onwards.
- Any compulsory hours worked includes a £3 per hour plusage.
- Overall Pay Rate (based on an individual efficiency scheme)

£13.77 - £18.62 - inclusive of night shift allowance
- Error reward entitlement, up to 50p an hour.
- The company offer an annual Loyalty payment. This will be discussed at interview.

**About the Role**

As a warehouse operative, you will have an important role to play as a part of a team that ensures our stores receive the products they need.

**What will I be doing?**
- Assembling and packing orders ensuring that goods are packed accurately and safely meeting quality standards.
- Assembly is done via a personal headset that is programmed to your individual voice. You will be given instructions via the headset to pick and pack selected products for each store.
- Handling equipment such as, roll cages, milk tetes and pallets.
- Working together as part of a motivated team to reach daily deadlines managed on a job and finish basis.
