Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting a Finance Manager for one of the world's leading FMCG companies, operating in more than 90 countries worldwide; They have ambitious growth targets, and are investing heavily to achieve their goal of reaching revenueswell in excess of €3bn within the next five years. Due to this continued growth our client is hiring this newly developed role to assist with the company's growth.
The role:
The Finance Manager will report to the Finance Director. You will be responsible for the Finance team (4) within our clients UK division which is seen as the custodian of all financial data, information, and reporting, both externally and, internally tothe UK and HQ stakeholders. You will ensure the integrity of the Company's accounting records, implementing the Group's Corporate Governance initiatives and developing individuals to provide a 'first class' finance team.
You will Manage the monthly financial closure and reporting to Group HQ. Ensuring key balance sheet and profit and loss accounts are reconciled. Managing the annual financial closure, liaising with external auditors and production of group financial statementsand UK statutory accounts. Ensuring that all Intercompany costs and incomes are accounted for correctly. Responsibility for ensuring tax compliance. Managing QUIPS payments and all tax related queries in conjunction with the Company's tax advisors. VAT preparationfor UK & Ireland, and Intrastat reporting.
Managing the accounting team members through coaching and development to help them achieve their potential. Ensuring rigorous financial oversight to ensure that company governance policies and procedures are adhered to. Managing all GL maintenance activities.(New GL accounts, controlling objects, fixed assets etc).
The Finance Manager will ensure financial control and transactional efficiency by being pro-active, organised with a high level of energy and drive to ensure that rigour is installed in our processes. This role is hands-on requiring an experienced accountantwho can adapt to change
What we are looking for:
The Finance Manager will be an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent, ideally with an audit background. Strong experience and knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP accounting standards are essential. Previous experience within FMCG and/or in a similar sizedbusiness is highly beneficial. You will be a Self-starter, high energy, team player. A skilled communicator who enjoys a fast-paced environment with a 'can do' attitude. Strong Excel and SAP skills would be preferable as is previous experience of managinga small team.
Salary £60,000 - £70,000 plus bonus and benefits
Location - Uxbridge.
Hybrid working 3 days a week in the office
