Motor Trade Underwriter

We are looking to support the exciting growth across AXA Commercial and bring to market an opportunity for a Motor Trade Underwriter to join the highly successful team.

It’s an exciting time to join AXA Commercial, as we undergo significant transformation including the creation of a Motor Trade Specialist team a virtual and national team that will allow us to deliver consistent and efficient service to Motor Trade customers through a specialised team across the country. It will enable us to show real intent to grow our Motor Trade business and to offer our people in this field a clearer career path.

We’re looking for ambitious Motor Trade Underwriters within our existing business function to take advantage of this opportunity. You’ll be key in driving profitable growth through effective underwriting of existing business cases and building relationships with brokers. At AXA we’re adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and any AXA Commercial office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. **What you’ll be doing**:

- Delivering planned financial result and demonstrate your contribution to loss ratio control by effectively adhering to branch UW controls.
- Driving profitable growth through effective underwriting of cases within empowerment; delivery of trading targets and building underwriting relationships with brokers.
- Identifying poorly performing accounts and investigate reasons for lack of retention, discuss actions with senior underwriters, Team Managers and Account Managers and implement those actions to increase retention and improve profitability.
- Building effective trading relationships with Brokers through trading activity and be recognised as a positive trading partner.
