**Casual Kitchen Steward**

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Ensure that the kitchen and associated areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition, including floors within and leading into the kitchen
- Ensure all service wear and cooking items are thoroughly washed, cleaned and dried and returned to designated storage areas
- Ensure all chemicals and cleaning products are used as directed by the manufacturer and in accordance with the training given
- Maintain records for all cleaning duties undertaking during shift
- Use and maintain equipment in the department as trained and to report immediately any faults to the Duty Chef
- Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment is used as specified by COSHH guidelines
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team
- Comply with company procedures and legal requirements including Health, Safety and Hygiene standards
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with departmental working instructions

Uniform and meals on duty are provided.
