Receptionist (homeless hostel)

A job opportunity has arose for a Recetionist (Homeless Hotel) in Ipswich. This is a month 3 temporary contract and you’ll be required to work full time, 40 hours per week.

Length:

3 Month Temporary including holiday pay

Hours:

Night shifts -10pm - 8am (4 days on, 4 days off)

-£11.00 per hour including holiday pay

The role involves:

- Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a young person’s homeless hostel
- Conducting curfew checks
- Controlling access to the building
- Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
- Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
- Dealing with health and safety issues
- Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
- Contacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
- Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
- Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise
- Additional requirements:

- Experience in a similar position working night shifts
- An enhanced DBS with adults and children’s work force check ideally from within three years or the willingness to obtain a new one
- Experience working with vulnerable clients
