Are you an immediately available Purchase Ledger Clerk?
We’ve teamed up with a reputable, well-known brand, based in central Southampton to find a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a 3 month temporary assignment. You’ll need to be available for an immediate start and have experience of accounts payable, invoicing and reconciling.
Throughout the assignment you’ll be working through a backlog of invoices due to a recent system change. Expect to be processing invoices into Sage, reconciling bank and supplier statements, basic data input and resolving queries.

**Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for**:

- Upload of approved supplier invoices into Sage accounts system, ensuring accurate coding
- Matching purchase orders delivery notes to invoices
- Reconciling bank, credit card and supplier statements
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries for suppliers
- Setting up new supplier accounts
- Make supplier payments bi-weekly
- Managing month end procedures in Sage and ensure reconciliation of all purchase ledger accounts.
- Basic data input

**What you will need**:

- Accounts payable / purchase ledger experience
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience of Sage preferable but not essential
