**Overview**

**THIS ROLE IS TERM TIME ONLY - 39 WEEKS**

**Duties**
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all children.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive atmosphere for learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and improve the early years curriculum.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the overall quality of care and education within the setting.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development in accordance with regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications**
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential at Level 3.
- Previous experience running as a room leader working with children in a nursery or educational setting is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their developmental needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education.
