We are currently recruiting to expand our brilliant staff team and strengthening it further in all areas of the school and college. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a “can do” attitude to join our team on a Supply/Casual basis. Supply/Casual Teaching Assistants have the flexibility of being able to work across both our fantastic Special Education School and College sites with flexible working patterns that meet both your availability and Beaucroft's cover needs.
The role involves assisting the teacher and other teaching assistants in the development and implementation of a programme of work and in providing a stable, caring and supportive learning environment for the pupils. You will be part of a team that is experienced and supportive where you can really get to know the pupils and your colleagues whilst working with pupils in small groups. The role is very varied, with no one day being the same, whilst being extremely rewarding.
A normal working day at Beaucroft starts at 8:45am and finishes at 3:45pm with half an hour for lunch Monday to Friday, Term Time Only. The successful applicant will start as soon as possible once the appropriate references, school and safeguarding clearances have been completed.
This is an opportunity to join our passionate, enthusiastic and outstanding team We are seeking a motivated, skilled and resilient person who has experience of supporting children and young people with SEND including those on the autistic spectrum. They will have a flexible approach, exemplary communication skills and be able to meet the challenging needs of our young people.
The salary is based on Dorset Job Evaluation Grade 4, Spinal Column Point 4 to 5.

Beaucroft is a Foundation Special School that caters for children and young people between the ages of four and nineteen who are experiencing learning difficulties, including complex needs, and those with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Our pupils’ needs range vastly and we are dedicated to giving the very best education to the children that they deserve.
Beaucroft is a special place, where children feel valued and staff ensure that learning needs are met. In addition to the National Curriculum, it offers a personalised, innovative curriculum to meet particular learning needs, focused on practical, community based learning, creating a friendly, caring environment where children positively thrive.
