Assistant Accountant

Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Salary Guide £25,000 to £28,000
Location: Wynyard - Hybrid Working (2 days per week in the office) - flexible working hours also offered.

Our client is a fast growing retail company, with a focus on SME businesses.. They are looking to recruit a Assistant Accountant to join their team. The successful person will have experience working in a Finance team.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Accounts payable, banking and purchase to pay controls
- Ad hoc sales invoicing for various businesses.
- Support month end management accounts preparation
- Month End Journal Entries
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Support reporting for departmental heads including variance to budget
- Assist with continuous improvement of financial controls and processes
- Produce ad hoc reports for the business

Skills / Experience Required:

- Experience within a similar role
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques
- Knowledge of financial reporting & margins
