Now Education are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Bury, Greater Manchester.

We are seeking a full time, Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support the school’s Science department on a long term basis.
- The role will require you to lead classes using planned work in the teachers absence.
- You will work in partnership with the teachers to make sure that any work that is left is delivered in an engaging and motivational way.
- You will manage the needs of the pupils inside the class, responding to questions and making sure each pupils has a positive learning experience.
- You will take small groups of pupils and work with them on tasks, breaking down and differentiating activities.
- You will also support the teachers in the marking and lesson planning for SEND pupil’s.

Experience leading classes
Up to date knowledge of the curriculum, especially within Science
Recent experience of working in a school
Strong communication skills
Proactive
A ‘can do’ attitude

Your CV needs to show all of your experience working children and young people.

**Salary**: £85.00-£110.00 per day

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- cover supervisor: 1 year (preferred)
- classroom support: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred)
- higher level teaching assistant certificate (preferred)
