Office Angels Livingston are collaborating exclusively with a highly successful Engineering business who are hugely respected in their field. They are actively seeking a Permanent Manufacturing Engineer. This role is based in Livingston and salary up to£32,000 depending on experience. The role is fully office based and working hours are Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 16.30pm.

**Role Overview**

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan and engineer the production jobs for manufacture ensuring the most effective and efficient production route and method to meet customer's agreed requirements. You will also provide expertise on production routing,methodology and costs as well as technical and engineering support to the UK business and its customers. This is a great opportunity for either an experienced individual from within the industry however it could also suit a CNC Machinist or Engineering Graduatelooking for a step into an Office role.

**Duties include**:

- Accurately plan and engineer production jobs for manufacture to meet customer requirements
- Provide technical and engineering support for the company and the commercial team in particular
- Interpret customer technical specifications and drawings to develop and agree company Manufacturing Process Specifications / Manufacturing Process
- Develop, agree and maintain company technical planning tools and data
- Participate in Pre-Production Meetings with customers and Third-Party Inspection bodies to ensure the business scope of supply meets with our capabilities and the re customer and industry specifications
- Ensure the production quotation and costing tools and systems are maintained and accurate
- Participate in company continuous improvement programmes particularly looking at methods of manufacture improvement
- Provide cover for other members of the Engineering and Technical function

**Skills and Experience required**:

- A qualified engineer (or have equivalent experience) with suitable, in depth, industry knowledge
- Expert knowledge in the processing and manufacturing of metal components, aerospace, nuclear and oil and gas
- Flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing business environment
- Commercially aware and innovative
- Able to work collaboratively across the organisation
- Organised, accurate and able to work to deadlines
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Com requirements of customer and industry specifications
- Ensure the production quotation and costing tools and systems are maintained and accurate
